An apprenticeship is not only an ancient tradition, but also a very effective modern day training method allowing students to receive hands on training and education as they become skilled in their trade. Apprenticeships prove to be the best method of training for an aspiring tradesman and allow each person the opportunity to begin a highly rewarding career.
Pipefitters Local 211 is one of over 300 local unions in the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA) and is a multi-craft union whose members are involved in the piping industry, particularly in piping fabrication, installation and servicing.
As one of the premier apprenticeship programs, Pipefitters JATC Apprentice School offers students a 5 year training program with classes two nights a week or on the weekend, and hands on training so that each student is fully prepared for their career upon completion of the course. Each Pipefitter apprentice is paid on the job and will work under the protection of a union contract which provides insurance, pension and health and welfare benefits.
After completing the course, the extensive experience and knowledge gained from the apprenticeship’s hands on training and education empowers each and every apprentice to break out as a Journeyman and start their successful career in the piping industry as a Pipefitter, Welder or HVAC Service Technician. Whether you want to work on the job or work your way towards becoming a supervisor, instructor, technician or inspector, with apprentice training from Pipefitters JATC Apprentice School, you will be prepared to achieve your dreams!
