|Jerry “J.R.” Ray Hipp
Jerry “J.R.” Ray Hipp, 64, passed away May 19, 2013 in Temple, Texas.
He was born October 6, 1948 in Bay City, Texas to Wilborn and Emily Hipp. J.R. was a pipefitter for over 45 years. He grew up in West Columbia, Texas. Being a pipefitter allowed him to travel and he lived and worked in Houston, Texas, and many other states. He also lived and worked in Hawaii, South Korea, and North Africa. He lived in Magnolia, Texas 5 years, moving to Tomball in 1995; retiring in 2005.
In addition to traveling, J.R. enjoyed camping, hunting, prospecting and sharing his love of fishing with his children.
J.R. is preceded in death by his parents, Wilborn Leon and Emily Oleta; his brother Bill Hipp, and his sister Glenda Felder.
Left to cherish the memory of J.R. are his son Troy Hipp; daughter Roxanne Wiltshire and her husband Jason; sisters Janice Sims and her husband Dennis; Libby Davis and her husband Mike; Barbara Germany and her husband Jerry; Judy Dickey and her husband Allen; brothers Jimmy Hipp, Tommy Hipp, Dennis Hipp and his wife Sylvia; grandchildren Brittany Hipp, Micah Saunders, Elijah Wiltshire, Yara Wiltshire, and Alister Wiltshire and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at with Pastor John Wise officiating.
